Nike says “Just Do It!”
I said “do what?”
Thanks to all my fab blog readers and twitter friends I got so many exercise suggestions I’m a little worn out just thinking about exercise.
The answers were varied but what I noticed is you guys who exercise are positively passionate about your choice of bodily fulfillment. What became clear to me is that I must find a form of exercise I love and then I will become addicted.
I have to say I am a little giddy with the prospect of finding a form of exercise I love. (A little disbelieving that I could actually LOVE exercise but giddy none the less.)
So I decided to try it all and see what works for me.
But where to start?
Should it be:
Pilates?
Swimming?
Zumba?

Weight training?
Ballet?

Wish me luck. I’ll keep you posted.

Good luck
I am so excited about this! Have fun!
Awwww, seeing this pictures of super fit babes caught in athletic pose makes me want to get outside in my sneakers! Yoga is a *wonderful* way to unwind. I'm excited for you!
It is so important that you do what you love and love what you do! I have been teaching fitness for more than 1/2 my life and I still love it. I do "allow" myself 1-2 days off a week, but feel so much better know that I have worked out on any given day. You will get there. The best thing is to incorporate a variety of different activities to keep yourself and your body guessing!
OK, now I feel guilty working at my computer. I guess I'll go do my fun Yoga Now tape with Rodney Yee. He is really good. I know I'll feel better if I go. Why am I so glued to this stupid chair and feel so compelled to work. No, if you can yoga, I can yoga!
I'm a big Rodney Yee fan like Diane. I love doing his AM Yoga DVD in the mornings or any time I need to refreshed. Beginners or more advanced folks can do this routine. You just get better at the poses as time goes on … nothing strenuous. Doing that video always makes me feel wonderful, but I've never found yoga classes to be my thing. I like doing my routine with Rodney in my living room. :-)
You'll find the routine that works for you, Carol!

Have fun exercising, it has done me a world of good, loving your blog, fun and sassy!
So funny. Love the photos!
FYI – I do my own version of yoga at home and there is no self-ridicule involved. Just what feels right and I love it that way.
