You may not know this about me but my maiden name is O’Neal and any day that celebrates being Irish is good by me! So don your green apparel and celebrate being Irish for just this one day, even if you aren’t.
While not too much is known about the early life of St. Patrick we do know that he was actually born in Britain (shock!) to a wealthy family and at the age of 16 he was kidnapped in a raid and sold into slavery in Ireland where he remained for 6 years before escaping back home to Britain. During his time in Ireland he dedicated himself to religion and eventually returned to Ireland with the mission of converting the Irish to Christianity. All in all I would say he did an excellent job of fulfilling his mission – he became known as the Apostle to the Irish. Talk about turning lemons into lemonade!
In Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day is an official day of feasting. Ok, how cool is it to have a whole day dedicated to eating?
If you are looking for a fun way to end off your day of feasting this March 17th, how about some Gluten Free Irish Coffee Cupcakes? They are light, whimsical and a bit boozy, just like a good Irishman. A few of these and you might just break out in a jig.
Gluten Free Slàinte! (That’s Irish for Cheers!)

Happy St Pat’s Day!!!
Happy St Patrick’s Day lady O’Neal
It was very nice to receive the St. Patrick’s Day Greeting. (Maybe Thom sent it?)
You and Thom are invited to spend some summer time with us in Colorado. We have a 16 travel trailer for a guest house there, too.
We feel like we “lucked out” when we met Thom. Now it would be wonderful to get to know you!
Barbara and Richard
I feel lucked out that I meet Thom too and am looking forward to meeting the both of you as well. Thank you for invitation! We may just take you up on that :)
And a happy happy St. Pat’s day to you too! Interesting, I didn’t know this :)
begoshandbegorrah……… my granpa was from Dublin.
He drowned in a vat of Guiness.
But he got out three times for a pee.
Happy Paddys Day Carol.

Ahh Rory – just another thing we have in common :) I always suspected you had a bit of the Irish in you!
I grew up in the Irish Channel neighborhood of New Orleans. Oh what a grand day St Patrick’s day was every year.
Those little chocolate shamrocks are so very sweet!
