Celiac Support Groups Community

If there is one thing I have learned through my years of being gluten free it is this – this whole gluten free thing is a whole lot easier when we have SUPPORT!

This is The Celiac Support Groups Community – a World Wide Community. All across the globe, there are wonderful Celiac Support Groups – groups designed to help, educate, share and most of all support each other with the celiac lifestyle. It is always much more fun to do something when you know you are not alone. How fabulous is it to get a tried and true gluten-free recipe for pound cake that works every time? Or to learn which restaurants in your area are gluten-free friendly? Or to simply have an understanding ear to tell your struggles to?

How fun to connect up with other groups in other countries! You can even form “sister” relationships!

After speaking at numerous Celiac Support Groups across America, I got to see for myself how very valuable the groups are and decided to make it easier for others to find them and for them all to communicate easily with each other.

This page is dedicated to helping you find a support group in your area or to let others know about one that already exists.

With almost 900 members, we are most active in Eastern Massachusetts, but are happy to assist other celiac support groups elsewhere in New England. In our 20th year, we deliver our support and education primarily via:• The Healthy Villi Newsletter, which is published for members four times a year;• Day-long membership meetings held multiple times per year and featuring a keynote speaker, a medical advisory panel, a delicious gluten-free buffet, and a GF emporium packed with vendors;• Monthly small-group support meetings in greater Boston; there is a meeting happening every week of the year at a variety of locations. • A celiac telephone information line covered by Healthy Villi board members daily during the week. • The Healthy Villi web site updated often with gluten free information covering local as well as national breaking news. About: The KGGICG meets once a month. Meeting days/dates vary. Most meetings are held on a weekday at 6:00 pm at the group leader’s home. At least two meetings a year—the group’s anniversary open house and annual picnic—are held on weekends. Meetings begin with a shared meal which features gluten-free food as well as foods that may be dairy free and more free. Food items are labeled so that all can eat safely.
