  • Gluten-free nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 cups nuts of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher or fine sea salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter or dairy-free butter substitute melted
  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9-inch pie pan with cooking spray.
  2. Place the nuts, sugar, and salt in a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Process until the nuts are finely ground. Add the butter and pulse until fully combined. Firmly and evenly press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the pie pan.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until warm, fragrant, and lightly browned. Let cool. Crust will harden as it cools.

Have you made this with a cheesecake that needs to be baked? I have found a lot of nut pie crust recipes but they all say to only use with a no-bake pie.

Heidi, just know that you don’t need to bake the crust like it says in the instructions, if you’re going to bake it with filling. In other words, don’t pre-bake it, just fill it and then bake it as you’d like for your cheesecake.

Thanks! I am trying it this round with a banana cream filling. Next time, I will try a cheesecake. 😍
