Post image for Thankful…

It’s Thanksgiving and in our family we have a tradition of picking one thing we are thankful for and sharing it with everyone.

The thing I would like to share with you this year is how thankful I am for our gluten free community. You are there to help each other, to ask and answer questions, to lend support when times are tough and to cheer loudly over small successes.

Food is the cornerstone of community and that is abundantly clear with our community.

What brought us together may have been being told we would have to live a life deprived of something we possibly thought we could not live without. But what holds us together is hope. Hope for improved health. Hope for a better life. Hope for a great cookie recipe. And our victories in reaching these hopes, great or small.

I am thankful for the abundance of love and support you all have shown me and each other.

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

I have only recently joined the blogging world, and although I’ve been a part of the gluten free community from the outside, I’ve been surprised at how welcoming other bloggers are, and have made so many virtual ‘friends’ through our common eating lifestyle. Thank you so much for your site, Carol, and all that you do for us in the gluten free community. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
