Creamy Tahini Sauce
Burgers are as American as the Fourth of July and, for many, as essential to the holiday as fireworks! Try this recipe to spice up the party fare.
- ½ cup sesame tahini
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt see note at end of recipe
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove minced
- ½ - ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ - ¾ cup water
Place the tahini, yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ cup of water in a blender. Blend until smooth and thick. It should be the consistency of lightly whipped cream. Add a little more water if necessary. Taste and add more salt if needed. Transfer to a small serving bowl.
To make dairy-free, either substitute with dairy-free Greek yogurt or simply omit and add an additional ½ cup tahini.
