Gluten Free Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Stuffed Dates Recipe

The holiday season is here and that means entertaining; holiday meals, cocktail parties, pot-luck office parties …

It is always a good idea to have a few go-to appetizer recipes up your sleeve. This gluten free, bacon-wrapped, goat cheese stuffed date recipe with a slight Asian twist is one of mine.

They are easy to prepare, can be served hot, warm, or at room temperature, and can even be made ahead and slightly reheated (or not).

These babies are sweet and salty, creamy and crunchy, and more than a little addictive. Put a platter of them in the living room, serve with a nice cocktail or sparkling water and it will help keep people out of the kitchen while you are trying to pull together your holiday meal. If you’re having a cocktail party, I might suggest making a double (or even triple) batch of these because they are just that good!

Can deglet noor dates be used instead?

Yes, I think deglet noors would work just fine. They aren’t as sweet as medjools but I’m sure they will be just as flavorful once they’re all put together. Enjoy!
