Green Chef Gluten Free Meal Delivery Service
I’m sure by now you’ve heard of meal delivery services. They box up portioned foods and ship them to your home weekly and all you have to do is open the box, follow the recipe steps, and just like that – dinner is done! The convenience of these meals is unbelievable. You don’t have to think about whether you have all the ingredients on-hand or scramble to find a recipe that uses up the items in your fridge. Chopping and prep work is very minimal and the meal comes out beautifully.
Now … did I mention many meal delivery services do not have gluten free options? But don’t worry! I just dropped your spirits only to lift them right back up because there’s a company that recently became the first meal kit delivery service to be Certified Gluten Free by the Gluten Intolerance Group. It’s called Green Chef and not only is it gluten free, but it’s USDA certified organic, too!
This is big news for those who have wanted to try these services but haven’t felt safe doing so because of the risk of getting glutened. And the timing of this news couldn’t be better because it’s just in time to start thinking of the holidays. You can use Green Chef meals as a way to save some time during the ever-so-hectic holiday season or you can plan to buy Green Chef meals for a friend or family member with gluten sensitivity or celiac disease. This would be an especially thoughtful gift for someone who is newly diagnosed and feeling overwhelmed – it can teach them that there are still plenty of delicious food options that do not contain gluten!
I recently tried these meals for myself and they were really good. As a recipe developer, most people would think I’d just whip something up in my sleep and have a 6-course dinner on the table in no-time. But because I’m a recipe developer and a busy person, I like convenience and I like not having to think too hard about what I’m going to make for dinner, especially if I spent all day coming up with other recipes and going through several rounds of taste testing.
Green Chef offers 3 plans that are certified gluten free: Gluten-Free, Paleo, and Keto. Each contains:
- Organic, high-quality ingredients with no GMOs, synthetic pesticides, antibiotics, growth hormones, or steroids.
- Portioned, prepped ingredients, including chopped veggies, pre-made sauces/marinades, and spice mixes so you can make gourmet meals in half the time.
- Recipe cards with easy to follow instructions, plus tips and photos.
- Oh, and possibly the best part – each meal takes just about 30 minutes to cook.
The company offers different sized plans – 2-person or 4-person family. The 2-person plan gets delivered weekly with ingredients for 3 meals. One of the meals in my box was the Lemon-Herb Chicken – a savory dinner featuring Greek-style potatoes, fresh arugula, and artichokes with capers.
If you’ve been hesitant about trying meal kit delivery services in the past, you need not be any longer! Green Chef is a fun way to cook dinner without any of the stress, and right now you can get $40 off your first delivery!
Now … if only it came with a kitchen clean-up button.
