Back to school with ParmCrisps

Kids are heading back to school this month, and that means it is time to think about lunch ideas if you haven’t already done so. My own kids are grown, but that doesn’t mean I don’t remember what it’s like to pack lunches for picky eaters.

My top go-to food items were:

Finger foods. Kids hate using utensils and love to assemble foods like cheese and crackers.

Dips. Kids love dipping foods, it’s as simple as that. And the dips can help make “bland” food more appealing to them.

Food on sticks. Kids like skewers and they’re pretty simple to prepare in advance. Try apples and chicken, veggie skewers, and more.

One thing I wish was around when I was packing lunches for my kids is ParmCrisps. Gluten free crackers back in the day were not very pleasant, so a cheese crisp instead would have made packing lunches a whole lot easier! Nowadays, we have better options for gluten-free crackers, but many parents are trying to have their kids avoid grains altogether. This is where ParmCrisps can step in.

Kids often LOVE cheese, so why not slip these in their lunch bags with some deli meats or sliced cucumbers?! That goes back to #1 in my go-to food items … finger foods!

ParmCrisps are great for kids (and adults, of course) because they are very allergy friendly. Yes, they are cheese, but since they are only Parmesan cheese, that means they are extremely low in lactose. They are nut free, soy free, contain no artificial ingredients and, of course, are gluten-free.

Some schools have no-nut policies, so it’s important to note that ParmCrisps Trios do contain nuts, but the regular ParmCrisps products do not.

Pack some ParmCrisps in your kid’s lunch bag and watch them become the envy of all the other students (and teachers!).
