Gluten Free Hot Cocoa Mix Recipe

Sugar-Free Hot Cocoa Mix Recipe

When the weather has that crisp chill to it, I almost instantly crave a hot drink. And while coffee is usually my go-to, when the sun goes down, I’ve often already had my fill of coffee for the day and need something a little more fitting for the nighttime. This Sugar-Free Hot Cocoa Mix is just the thing!

Rather than a store-bought cocoa mix that’s full of artificial ingredients or lots of sugar, I like to make my own mix using Swerve. If you aren’t familiar with Swerve, it’s a zero-calorie, non-glycemic sweetener that replaces sugar cup-for-cup.

What’s even better than warming up with a cup of cocoa made from this deliciously simple mix is doing so while making more batches to give as gifts! Who can resist making several batches of this easy recipe – one for you and your family at home to try and enjoy, and the other to package up and give to friends and coworkers. Jar this up and decorate the jars with ribbon and a cute label. Include instructions for making the cocoa – ¼ cup cocoa mix + ¾ cup hot milk of choice.

Catch this recipe in action on Facebook LIVE this Friday, December 14th at 12pm EST. I’ll be showing you all how to make it in our Gluten Free & More kitchen, so be sure to visit our Facebook page then. Hope to see you there!

This uses the “confectioners sugar” version of Swerve. If there is a confectioners-style monk fruit powder then yes. You’ll want to adjust amounts accordingly if monk fruit and Swerve aren’t exactly cup for cup.
