What’s great about this recipe is it uses ingredients that are likely already in your pantry – sugar, butter, and vanilla. Some of you may also have pecans and pink sea salt on hand. Then, all you need if a couple boxes of gluten-free graham style crackers (I use Kinnikinnick). These can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 week. Mark a date on them and maybe include a print-out of the recipe and package them up in a cute container and you’ve got yourself an edible, adorable gift for the host of the Christmas party you’re attending, your coworkers, your Secret Santa, or anyone else who likes treats!

Ingredients

  • 2 (8-ounce) boxes Kinnikinnick S’Morables Graham Style Crackers
  • sticks unsalted butter
  • cups light brown sugar , packed
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups pecans , chopped
  • ½ teaspoon pink sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Line the sheet with the graham crackers – you may have a few leftovers depending on how large your baking sheet is.
  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and stir well to combine. Continue to cook until the mixture starts to bubble. Once it starts to bubble, continue cooking, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and pecans. Carefully pour the mixture over the graham crackers, spreading in an even layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the sea salt. While still warm, cut into bite-sized pieces. Let cool.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
