Peppermint Cranberry Moscow Mule

Peppermint Cranberry Moscow Mule

As we move into the holiday months, we begin to see peppermint cookies, peppermint creamer, peppermint candy, and many other peppermint-flavored items in stores … even peppermint vodka! With that in mind, I decided to combine peppermint, cranberry, and ginger beer together for a cool, refreshing taste of the holidays in one fun cocktail!

Note: If you don’t want to buy a regular-sized bottle of peppermint vodka, you can purchase mini bottles (like they serve on airplanes) of peppermint vodka or use regular vodka with pure peppermint extract.

Is ginger beer like ginger ale? Are there any certified gf brands you recommend?

Ginger beer is different from ginger ale. Contrary to the name “beer” it actually does not contain the same ingredients as a regular beer (barley, wheat, etc.). Most brands of ginger beer will be naturally gluten-free, but always check labels – they should be made with just water, sugar, and ginger, and maybe a couple other minor ingredients.
