Ingredients

  • pounds (680 g) extra-lean ground turkey
  • 1 small yellow onion , finely diced
  • 1 cup (149 g) diced green bell pepper
  • ½ cup (120 mL) ketchup
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) mustard
  • ¼ cup (50 g) dark brown sugar
  • Gluten-free hamburger buns
  • Cheese , pickles, or other toppings of choice

Instructions

  • Use a 4-quart slow cooker. There is no need to brown the meat before placing it into the slow cooker. Add all ingredients to the pot, and stir well to combine.
  • Cover, and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for about 4 hours. Stir well to break up clumps before serving in toasted gluten-free hamburger buns. Top with sliced cheese and pickles, or toppings of choice.
