• 1½ cups cubed and seeded watermelon
  • ½ cup cubed and seeded cucumber
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 3 ounces Hendrick’s gin
  • Cucumber slices and watermelon wedges, for garnish

  1. In a food processor or blender, blend the watermelon, cucumber, orange juice, and honey.
  2. Pour into a shaker filled with ice and add the gin.
  3. Shake what your momma gave you!
  4. Using a strainer, pour into two martini glasses and garnish with cucumber slices and watermelon wedges.

Makes 2 cocktails

There’s no reason that you can’t get your fruit and veggies in while you indulge in some libations! (Bloody Mary, anyone?) This drink eschews the sticky sweet flavor of other martinis in exchange for the fresh, clean cucumber paired with refreshing watermelon. I use Hendrick’s gin because it’s infused with cucumber and rose and isn’t a juniper gin, like Bombay Sapphire.
