Recommends: Azuñia Tequila
¡Arriba, abajo, al centro, pa’dentro!
(Translation: [glasses] up, down, front, inside.) If you’re a tequila fan, you’re going to love this one! Azuñia Tequila is a smooth, clean-crafted tequila that is of exceptional quality and taste. It is made with 100% pure Weber Blue Agave, grown in the Jalisco valleys in Mexico. From start to finish, this tequila is made with care and authenticity.
To start, the agave is grown by one grower, not multiple like other tequila brands. This allows a level of quality control that contributes to a consistent taste. The agave plants are harvested at the peak of ripeness (between 8 to 10 years). They spiky leaves are cut away from the core (the pina) and the core is then taken to the distillery and slow roasted for up to 36 hours. Azuñia uses natural fermentation instead of yeasts (unlike other tequila brands), which is the traditional method that allows for a distinct flavor. The tequila is double distilled for purity and then filtered, creating a luxurious and smooth finished product.
Azuñia tequila is different from other tequilas because of their dedicated to being homegrown, handmade, and authentic. Plus, their Blanco and Reposado tequila varieties are USDA Certified Organic. Talk about quality! I love this tequila in a fresh-made margarita or even as a shot. It’s a wonderful spirit that I highly recommend!
