Ingredients
Gluten-free nonstick cooking spray
1packagegluten-free cake mix(flavor of choice)
1cupwater
1large egg
¼cupvegetable oil
1teaspoonpure vanilla extract
1½cupspowdered sugarmeasured then sifted
1tablespoonunsalted butter or dairy-free butter substitutemelted
Food coloring of choice
2-4tablespoonsmilk or dairy-free milk
Sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray doughnut pans with cooking spray.
Combine the cake mix, water, egg, oil, and vanilla in a mixing bowl and whisk well. Pour the batter into a large food storage bag and snip about ¼ inch off one corner. Squeeze the batter into the prepared pans, filling about halfway full. Bake for 12-14 minutes. Let cool in the pans for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack placed over waxed paper to finish cooling.
Place the powdered sugar in a mixing bowl, add the melted butter, and a drop or two of food coloring, if desired. Stir in enough milk to bring to the desired consistency.
Drizzle the glaze over the cooled doughnuts and top with sprinkles.
