Gluten Free Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie Recipe

I don’t mean to scare you, but do you realize it is only one month until Thanksgiving and just a mere 64 days until Christmas?

That may still seem far off but trust me when I tell you that “The Holidays” will be here before you know it!

I am very excited to announce to you that the Simply Gluten Free Holiday Favorites special collector’s edition is available to help you plan that perfect gluten free feast or party.

There are 112 recipes that will take you from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day, from starters to dessert, from brunch to dinner. And a few giftable treats included!

The Holiday Favorites edition is available now in stores or you can purchase online here.

To give you a little sneak peek, here is one of my favorite pies, a Gluten Free Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie Recipe. It whips up quickly and is a real crowd pleaser. If you have concerns about the bourbon, just leave it out – the pie will still be delicious and you can just call it Maple Pecan Pie!

Gluten Free Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie Recipe

3 large eggs
¼ cup sugar
1 cup maple syrup
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons bourbon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
½ teaspoon kosher or fine sea salt
1½ cups finely chopped pecans
1 (9-inch) gluten-free pie crust, unbaked

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until smooth. Add the maple syrup, melted butter, bourbon, vanilla, and salt. Stir in the pecans.

Pour the mixture into the pie crust and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until the filling looks set.

Can this be done without sugar?
